August 14, 2023

Littleton Public Schools is ready to welcome students back for the 2023–2024 school year! Teachers in every school are hard at work and excited to have your kids back in school.

The days preceding the start of a school year are always buzzing with anticipation, and this year is no exception. I have enjoyed spending time with our school and district leaders at our back-to-school kickoff events and training sessions. I was also inspired by our talented new educators, which we had the privilege of welcoming to LPS a few days ago at our New Educator Orientation.

I look forward to meeting our students, staff, and parents this week out in the schools. And, we are excited to welcome students and staff to our new facilities: Little Raven Elementary, The Village for Early Childhood Education, EPIC Campus, and the East Community Center. The LPS Centennial Stadium will be ready for use soon, as well.

Thank you for your ongoing support for Littleton Public Schools. 2023–2024 is going to be a great year!

About Dr. Lambert

Dr. Todd Lambert brings 29 years of experience to LPS. He was most recently the superintendent in the Warrick County School Corporation.

He places a high priority on communication and visibility and effectively established trust by making more than 250 classroom visits in his first year and a half as superintendent in the Warrick County School Corporation in Indiana. He expanded the district’s capacity to build and keep a talented workforce by updating recruiting and hiring practices and creating leadership development models for both administrators and teachers. He increased stakeholder engagement by establishing parent and student advisory teams that meet regularly. He met his Board’s challenge to ignite the process of designing and building a career and pathways school which is scheduled to open this coming fall. Lambert responded to the mental health needs of his community through a class-size reduction plan, an increase in the number of mental health specialists available for students and staff, and a rebuild of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model to specifically address behavioral and mental health issues more efficiently.

Previously, Dr. Lambert served in the Poudre School District in Fort Collins, CO as the interim superintendent, assistant superintendent, and the director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. He was a principal and an assistant superintendent in Westfield Washington Schools in Westfield, Indiana. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Arts from Ball State University, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University.

"The most meaningful work we do takes place in the schools."

"Nothing compares to being in schools with students and educators."
